FREEDOM FROM MYSELF

In Freedom from Myself: One Woman's Diary of God's Unceasing Love, author Fay Barlow shares her deepest hurts in the process of discovering the truth about her worth in Christ. Full of raw emotions and issues that most women are afraid to admit that they feel, Freedom from Myself reveals healing through biblical counsel and scripture in an entertaining - but brutally honest - manner. Laugh a little, cry a little, and heal a little as you delve into the heart and mind of one woman on a quest for meaning.

New Blog

If you have happened upon this site and are noticing that there hasn't been a new post in several weeks, that is because I have been working on a new blog book.
Please visit my new book at:

www.hispurelove.blogspot.com

Of course, my book; Freedom from Myself, is still available everywhere. I am just working on something I started five years ago, but am just finishing it.

Hope you enjoy both books and please pass the word on.

God Bless

The fast life

Ever hear the Nationwide commercial: Life comes at you fast.

Well, life has come at us fast.

In two days time, we have decided to homeschool our youngest son, while out of town, email back and forth and call (when cell phone service is available) the appropiate people to get the appropiate forms for registering for homeschool and get our son enrolled at a resource center in town to help with subjects that leave me stumped most of the time (math and science) Whew!

All the while, talking with our oldest son who has decided to move back home for a while. (that is the condenced version)

Yes, life comes at you fast. I sat in the car for 6 hours stressing mentally over all that needs to be done for school and praying frantically for the Lord to calm me down.
After finally verbalizing my issues to my husband and hearing him say that he is here for me, I calmed down and began the tedious work of filling out paperwork.

Oh, and I am in the middle of starting up a new blog with my latest book. I started the book 5 years ago, completed most of it last year and am rewriting and having my oldest son, Kyler, edit it for me.

And, I am in the middle of taking classes working toward a certificate in Biblical Counseling.

Nationwide may be on the side of the driver that experiences life in the fast lane, but I Praise God that He is on my side through all experiences of life, fast, slow and stalled!

Right now, I think I'm in the fast lane.

I Am

I am constant,
I am near,
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears.
I am holy,
I am wise,
I'm the only one who knows your hearts desires.
-------------
Oh, gently lay your head upon my chest,
and I will comfort you like a mother while you rest.

A great song by Jill Phillips

Yes, Jesus is constant, He is near, He is holy and wise, and Praise Him that He alone knows my heart. That's why I trust Him alone with it.

Mark 1:35
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

I can't sleep anymore. I guess my age is playing horrible tricks on my body. So, after waking up at 1am last night and not being able to get back to sleep for several hours, and then reading this scripture today, I decided that the next time I can't sleep, which will probably be tonight, I will get up and go to a solitary place and pray.

The best part is that there are many solitary places to pray in the middle of the night!!
